We love weekends!

So the weekend started off with Brady's graduation in the morning. We later met Melissa at the gym after we went to the pool then headed off to dinner to Mizu's! Saturday morning Derek woke up at 445AM to attend, help run his team's, Rio Strada, annual criterium in Rancho Cordova. In the meantime, Melissa was with the kids to attend a pre-school buddy 4yo party. Then they immediately went to cousin Sara's birthday party where Derek arrived at 630 after his race day.
With all this busy fun on saturday, we decided to make it a family day on Sunday and head to the gym and stay at the pool, which ended up being 4 hours of pure fun and total relaxation! Drew has become quit the lil swimmer and Brady's confidence in growing by the day, slowly, but getting there! Yup, we love weekends! They rock baby!

We have a graduate!

Brady has graduated...with honors and no student loans from Discovery Pre-School! We celebrated the day with his friends, Daddy, Mommy and Drew this morning! Yummy food and lots of ummm, play, what else does one do at pre-school right?! Well, he has done very well with his letters, reads a few words, does math really well, gets along extremely well with others. We're very proud of you Brady! In August Brady will be attending Stonegate Elementary School as a Kinder. Drew still has one more year of pre-school before she can attend Kindegarten.

I swear we live in a house, not a backyard!

Seems like we spend more time and take more pics in the backyard then anywhere else in the house! But the fact is that we really do spend a great deal of time in the yard during the day! That's a big reason why we have spent so much of our extra time working back there!

Terrific Weekend!

We've never been ones to celebrate memorial day, but for some reason we we're in the mood to have friends over and let the kids play in the backyard and have some yummy burgers and hotdogs..and a few beverages of choice! We had so much fun that we might make this a new tradition! And the swing set was a hit with the kids!

So basically, Rio Strada is a happy family of cyclist and supporters! The shot with just Ron is the one I took seconds before Jim's shot! Not a clean shot, but still working out some bugs with the camera! Fun nevertheless! Enjoy!

Saturday Night Dip in the Hot Tub!

Good times indeed have begun this weekend! Derek raced a hard race and group today, did well, somewhere in the 20's out of 75. We also saw Kirsten at the race, old friend! All good, no broken body parts nor bike parts! Then a fun a chill time with Jason and Allison at their place and a great dinner!

Great Weekend Ahead!

Another fun and exciting weekend ahead, worked on the yard most of the day yesterday, had company over for a small dinner, Melis went out with Sara for some wedding research..as they say! Today Derek has a race in Folsom and we'll meet some old friends for lunch.

Miss Attitude

Sunny Friday!

After dropping off Brady at Pre-school, Drew and I rushed home, mowed the lawn, set up the pool, filled up the pool. Once we picked up Brady we had lunch and out in the front we went to enjoy the awesome weather and the pool! Then dinner with neighbors! Great day!

Melissa got to sleep in this morning, all the way to 745! That's pretty awesome considering Brady woke up at 530 and Drew at 540! We then went to the grocery store for some breakfast stuff and flowers. And here is a picture of the end result! The menu included: Pancakes, sausage, strawberries and eggs, and even Mimosa! So its been a pretty neat Spring around here..warm, hot, and even wet at times! Lat week, it rained a bit, so we took this opportunity to get outside and check it out!

So this past week was Melissa's b-day! Last night was a huge family get-together with dinner at Mana's Sushi, a place we've been going to for over 10 years, then cake & presents at Jim & Sis'!

Good times and thanks for coming! Always AWESOME to see everyone and of course all the kids getting along super well!
