First Practice

While Drew was kicking and dribbling the ball in the house with anyone and everyone who could stand up, Brady just watched and waited for practice. So what happens? Brady goes out there and tears it up with his dribbling and kicking with the inside of the foot and never touching the ball! The guy was listening while Drew was doing... So it looks like we have a kinesthetic learner and an auditory learner on our hands!

Drew signs with Corinthians!

So here's the first of many to come! The kids have started playing soccer and so far seem to be enjoying the fun! Drew is sporting the worlds best soccer team gear, Corinthians of Sao Paulo, Brasil.

The kids will have two practices a week, Monday and Wednesday. The first game will be on September 12, a race day for Derek too...oh man, too many athletes in one home!

Summer is almost over!

Summer is pretty much over in terms of school for three of us at the house! Brady starts up Kinder in a couple of weeks, Derek also gets back in 2 weeks and Drew will head back to Pre-School in early September. Attached this week are a few pics from this past week, water and ice cream!

Day Trip to "The Most Beautiful City in The World!"

After all sorts of other little plans getting in our way, we finally took our dat trip to San Francisco. We wanted to keep it simple and ensure the kids had a success trip or else they would not want to go again. The picture above is our mid day snack at Union Square with a hot dog.

Drew & The Bike

So here are the Drew pictures! A few weeks back while at a bike shop, Drew noticed a cute lil pink jersey for kids. She wanted it, so I used it as a motivational tool, "You get off training wheels and you can have the jersey!" So what happens? She gets off the training wheels and makes sure that I get her the "bike jersey," then she wanted shorts...the lil things were so cute(in addition to to my daughter wanting bike shorts), how could I possibly resist right?! So here she is, jersey and shorts, as Daddy promised.

BREAKING NEWS - Brady is off training wheels!

After trying to convince Brady that he could indeed ride his bike without training wheels and no luck, only his little sister Drew could push him to do so! How so? Thanks for asking! With the Tour de France on every morning, Drew was determined to ride without training wheels, she sure did it(we have video, cant help her, take pics, and video all at the same time!). Then this afternoon, Brady just decided to try on Drew's bike...and off he went! A few minutes later his bike was ready to go and as you can see, he's off and riding! The funny thing, Derek only took off his training wheels after his brother, Jamie, took his off. And we know how that ended up for Derek. So we'll see how it all goes! Brady and Drew have some proud parents!

4th of July Weekend

Whats a 4th of July without fireworks right?! For the past few years we have been going to our friends home and having a total blast in the pool, great food, lots of great drinks and the awesome 2 later fireworks system! We love it!


As you can see, Drew got into the fireworks and it all worked out great, no one was hurt!


Brady gets the food gene from Melissa and Derek....not too good! But heck, he loves the day also worked up an appetite with all the swimming he did in the pool!

What da?!?! Every year, for 33 to be exact, Davis has hosted a 4th of July Criterium race downtown. Its a great event put on by the Davis Bike Club. In addition to the great racing, Derek got 16th by the way, its fun for the kids with face painting, balloons, and all sorts neat places to eat etc. Just a great atmosphere for the riders and family! Drew of course HAD to have her face painted! She was painted around 10AM and it only came off around 4PM once she got in the pool!

Daddy & Brady Day and Mommy and Drew Day!

Drew got her nails done with Mommy! A first for Drew, she loved it as you can see in her eyes! Afterwards they hit up A&W for "Rwoot Be-AH" floats!

After we had our days, we hit up the new West Sac Rec Center's pool, good times!


Daddy and Brady went to Scandia for miniature Golf and some car racing, then In & Out for lunch! Check out Brady keeping his eyes on the ball! Potential to be had...oh and by the way, he had a legit hole in one! So we went out and bought $1,000 set of clubs and 500 lessons! YEAH RIGHT!


The Girls head off to their day and Brady was still in his PJ's! Lil Hugh Hefner in the making!

Summer is officially here..according to the temperatures!

Yup, its summer time and its hotter than hell! Yesterday it was 104 and today we hit 108! The best way to stay cool is simple, get wet and stay wet. We spent three days this weekend in a $10 pool in the front yard. Great times! Simple times of course, but who really cares as long as the kids are having fun!

Derek raced in Benicia Saturday morning, a hard race, and finished somewhere around 9-13th place, awaiting official posted results! Melis attended a Pampered Chef Party and hit the gym on Sunday!

We're excited for the next weekend, a popular race in Davis in the morning and party in the afternoon for the 4th of July!

And yes, Brasil won today in South Africa against some USA team, 3-2...puta merda, essa foi foda!

Forget the carbon frames, wheels!

BUSTED! So you thought I had some fancy dancy bike with the latest technology; carbon this, carbon that, blah blah blah! We'll...here is the newest and latest and for sure the fastest thing since a fed elephant in the feeding season!

What a great Father's Day this past Sunday! had a great breakfast at home with Melis, Brady and Drew, then headed up to Nevada City for the afternoon!

Drew Turns 4 Today!

Four years ago things seemed really quiet in the house! Today, we woke up at 6AM wanting milk, as we do every morning! Yup, the lil baby girl is now 4.."FOH" as she says! She then went out in the living room and found her new bike! A Disney Princess bike which actually fits her! As you can see she's all smiles! Its the start of Drew's Birthday Week

Crazy week is now behind us! Derek ended his school obligations this past week and he is now in full on vacation mode! Play time with the family and bike! This weekend we began Drew's Birthday celebration with her friends party at The Bounce Spot in West Sacramento. Sunday morning we went running(look at Drew's form in the running picture! Cracks us up! What a stud!) along a lil lake in the area and found a cute turtle, then later in the day we went to the Rivercats baseball game. There we had hot dogs, soda, ice cream...Derek & Melissa had a beer of course!
Lots more planned for the week of course! Weekends are the best around here!

Another sweet weekend!

I think we live for weekends! Friday we had our usual dump day routine, then we had a family day and went to the movie theater and watched "Up," the latest Pixar Movie, highly recommend it by the way! Then we had lunch at Rubio's, yummy!!! We also went camping in West Sacto! You figure it out! Saturday was a busy day with parties, getting new wheels on the bike, Costco and finally and date night! Thanks Riley! Sunday we chilled at the house and Derek went on a 42 miler. BBQ'd salmon for dinner! Another awesome weekend!

Yes, Derek really does go racing..not fishing!

This is proof that I actually do race! Thanks to my teammate Jim Elder, I now have proof! Thats my good 'ol friend Kenny Lane in front. I used him as my lead out stud, all was worked out until the second to last turn when a dumbass decided to push me out and I ended up on a sidewalk at 30mph, then BMX'd(bunny hop'd) my way back into the race to end up at 18th...dang curb!
