Sorry for the late update on the weekend!

So we finally finished the main structure building and concrete for the swing set. Friday we set the concrete and sunday Derek built the "rock wall" climbing aspect of the swing. Friday night we spend the night at our friends house, Justin and Stacie, along with their girls! Great times!

Sunday Derek raced in Livermore, avoided MAJOR carnage in the last 500 meters...so that was a plus. Seems like dude cant put a decent race together! Lots more this month, something better work!

Melissa turned 37 yesterday! Small dinner with Nana & Papa, and the big family thang will be next weekend!

Yup! My bike made it on the blog before I did! I wish I looked this good after last nights ride up to the airport in 20mph gusting winds.

Another Friday and another dump day here!

We've had a busy week with school, ballet, Melissa is back running, and I have been preping for a race this weekend in Livermore!

Lots planned for the weekend: concrete the swing, make salsa, head over friends house for a dinner, get a gift for Melis' B-day, and the race! Should be a fun one!

Another cool weekend at The Novaes household! The kids at two parties to attend, Melis had a friday night outing with friends, Derek rode 87 miles and the weather is getting warmer! No complaints from us!

We tried hard to get a family picture, but Mr. Brady has been busting an attitude when it comes to family pictures...these are the better looking people in the family anyway!

Still not there yet, but I have help!

So another week goes by and we're still hard at work in getting the swing set settled! Yesterdays challenge: dig holes and concrete the legs! I did get the dreaded holes dug, but because of the roots, I am having issues with getting the thing leveled! I need to call "Handy Manny," ie Papa! But in the meantime, Brady has been a great helper, as you can see!

Its Friday! DUMP DAY!!!!

Thats right! Time for Friday! Let me tell what that means; Brady wakes up before 6AM waiting for the "regular" garbage truck driver. His name is Vince by the way, then John(green waste), and finally Joel(recycle). After pre-school Brady will ask me to drive around the neighborhood to see all the dumps in the area, then off to putting the court's dumps away!

And here gomes Vince at 7:27AM!

Alrighty, so lets see if this thing works! Hoping to let the family know what we've been up to in last few days. This past weekend Bob and I began the building process for a swing set in the backyard. The Acrea's gift to the kids for Easter. I still need to dig a bunch more to set the legs and then it will be some minor looking, yet pain in the rear work!

So far the kids have been loving it! Should help us out a great deal in the summer! Looking forward to it thats for sure.
